A Legacy of Service and Leadership
David Fischer, Director of Commercial & Specialty Lending
David Fischer's impact on Terry College spans the Young Alumni Board's entire history. As a founding member at the board's inception, Fischer helped establish the framework for what has become an influential network of engaged alumni supporting the college and its students. His dedication and leadership led him to serve as Chairman of the Young Alumni Board, where he played a key role in expanding alumni involvement and strengthening engagement opportunities across the Terry community.
Today, Fischer continues that commitment through his recent appointment to the Terry College Alumni Board. His service reflects a longstanding passion for connecting alumni, students, and business leaders while helping advance the college's mission and reputation. Through his leadership, Fischer has helped ensure that Terry graduates remain connected to opportunities that support both personal and professional growth.
Tyler Jones Drives Innovation & Engagement
Tyler Jones, Griffin Market President
While Fischer helped lay the foundation, Tyler Jones has helped expand the impact of Terry College's alumni programs through innovation and engagement. In 2015, Jones co-founded the Terry College Stock Pitch Competition, now in its 12th year and attracting finance students from leading universities across the country and abroad.
Jones also launched the expansion initiative for 10 for Terry+, a fundraising campaign designed to provide recurring financial support for Terry College departments and organizations. During his five years of service on the Young Alumni Board, he has held numerous leadership roles, including leading the Philanthropy Committee and Signature Event Committee, serving as Vice Chair, and currently serving as Chairman for the 2026-2027 academic year.
In 2025, Jones founded the Terry College Young Alumni Summit, creating a forum for recent graduates to network, learn from business leaders, and deepen their connection to the Terry community. The program recently earned UGA's 2026 Innovative Program Award at the Advancing the Arch Conference.
